    Good

The food in the main dining room was excellant in its presentation & cooked beautifully

The dishwasher was obviously not washing dishes properly. Everything had grime stuck onto it. Training needs to be given to the staff in waiting on tables & serving drinks. This service is incredibly poor & lets the dining room down. The food was served with a big time delay between guests at the same table. Food was getting cold whilst we waited for others to be served.

    Exceptional

The decoration and ambience of the dining room was beautiful, with roaring fires to keep us warm, and the food (and service) excellent at all meals. And of course it's marvellous that the accommodation is so close to the Caves themselves, and surrounded by gorgeous scenery!

It would be nice to have a couple of lighter (sandwich-level) options available for evening meals (the bar menu isn't much different from the restaurant menu), but this is a minor point.

    Superb

Proximity to the caves. The rooms.

    1. They had made an error and only had a booking for one room rather than This was rectified on arrival. I hadn't realised how important it was to receive a confirmation directly from them. 2. The microwave in our room was completely inadequate for something advertised as having a 'kitchenette' - too low wattage and took an inordinate amount of time to reheat food we had brought.

    Very good

the area we sleep in was lovely and warm, the beds comfy and the water hot, old world charm

On our weekend the dining room had a Christmas in July menu which did not appeal to our family so we had food from the bar. This was disappointing as it is quite a limited menu. We had to wait some time to have a table to eat at on the bar floor. It was well cooked but limited. The service was a little disjointed however the staff were friendly.

    Very good

Very cosy with a comfortable bed. Clean and convenient to caves.

Bathroom could do with heating and was unable to work the television.

    Very good

Wentr their as a child often, and later with Speleo groups exploring in the 1960'S. Went to follow up after all that time!

All good, food, accommo, convenience to caves, quality of caves and guides.

    Fabulous

Beautiful setting, knowledgeable and funny guides who engaged the children, friendly staff, generally laid back atmosphere, beautiful walks along the lake and into the valley.

I thought the accommodation was quite expensive - $190.00 for a single night.

Old world charm, great site - wonderful walks as well as the cave tours.

    Superb

The chance to view the wonderful caves. We also loved the continental breakfast and the staff in the hotel. Espec. The reception staff.we were upgraded to room 312 in caves house and that made our stay so much easier than going out in the cold at night.

Our room 312 was too hot. We were very uncomfortable and my husband opened the window all night as we could not adjust the heating.we were very surprised as it was cold outside.

    Very good

Victorian style architecture has alot of charm. Very close proximity to Jenolan Caves means could take advantage of more day & night tours.

Staff weren't too friendly or helpful. Quite expensive hotel compared to what you get for the same price with other hotels (E.G. no spa, mod cons).

    Good

As a gourmet, special, once in a blue moon treat, it is a nice place to stay .... not much dining options if on a bit of a budget, or staying more than one night as the restaurant is expensive and the menu limited (although the food was excellent and worth the price).

Poor Signage and Directions for accessing the motel, hotel guest parking, and how to find the dining room from the motel (signs from reception were fine, but if approaching from the motel was very confusing). The curtains were very thin, letting the street lighting through, and did not fit the window - as we were on the ground floor, that mean't people (other guests) passing by outside could see right through our room into the ensuite, if they had cared to look!. The rooms were very cobwebby - all around the ceilings, light fittings, and in all corners and crevices, and the windows were thick with cobwebs on the outside, but otherwise the place was very comfortable and clean. The soaps and toiletries are in a self dispenser and had not been replenished - soap, body lotion and shampoo all empty. So - a bit more attention to detail would not go amiss.

    Exceptional

comfortable bed, warm & cosy, friendly helpful staff. While the buildings are old and Jenolan house in need of repair there is still a warm feeling and old world charm, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

    all good!!!!
